Darmstadt, Germany | 5–8 October 2026

From 5–8 October 2026, nVolts took part in MEMRISYS 2026, the 9th International Conference on Memristive Materials, Devices & Systems, at the darmstadtium in Darmstadt, Germany. It was a valuable opportunity to present our electronic systems and instrumentation, meet the people advancing memristive technologies, and explore how practical hardware can support their research.

Bringing our hardware closer to researchers

At our exhibition table, visitors could explore nVolts hardware alongside demonstrations of our measurement and control setup. Our display included data-acquisition and switching platforms, offering a starting point for conversations about laboratory workflows and experimental requirements.

These face-to-face discussions gave us the opportunity to listen. Understanding how researchers work, what they need to measure and where their current setups create limitations is an essential first step towards providing a useful solution.

A professional setting for meaningful exchange

The conference stood out for its highly professional atmosphere, focused scientific discussions and welcoming environment. Across presentations, poster sessions and conversations in the exhibition area, there was a shared willingness to exchange ideas, discuss challenges and learn from different approaches.

The programme connected work on materials and device behaviour with circuits, in-memory computing and neuromorphic systems. For nVolts, this combination made the event especially relevant: progress in these fields depends not only on new device concepts, but also on the tools used to measure, control and evaluate them.

First connections across borders

MEMRISYS brought together an international research community. The published programme includes contributors affiliated with institutions in Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Spain, the Czech Republic and Australia, alongside many other countries. Explore the official conference programme.

During the conference, we had the opportunity to establish first contacts with researchers from Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Australia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Serbia. We appreciated their interest, their questions and the chance to learn about their work.

We see these initial conversations as the beginning of a longer dialogue. We look forward to following up, understanding each team’s requirements in greater depth, and delivering devices that best fit their research—from measurement and data acquisition to switching, control and tailored electronic systems.

Looking ahead

Thank you to the organisers, speakers, exhibitors and everyone who visited the nVolts table for making MEMRISYS 2026 such a productive experience. We returned from Darmstadt with new connections and a clearer sense of how we can help researchers turn demanding experimental ideas into working setups.

If we met at MEMRISYS—or if you are looking for electronics and instrumentation for your next research project—we would be pleased to continue the conversation.
